A very lightweight desktop. Powerful thanks to the shortcut groups. I need your feedback.

Ok, I renamed the theme to DevNul since that's the name of my new box :))) Anyway, we now have popups. The theme is still kept simple and clean, although it does have much more gfx (7) files as U-Turn did :) Anyway, theme's almost done, I'm thinking about adding some shortcuts and neat stuff like that. That's what that little square after systray and sysvwm is for. Theme uses: sysdesk, sysvwm, re5source popups, lscommand, sysmeter, modified tasks.dll.

This is a hotkey and popup driven desktop. The vwm is the new minivwm that doesn't require a wharf. Systray is hidden in TraySaverLS.

Not sure how minimal you'd call this, but hey, here's my Analogue Tree variation of my Analogue Forest theme.

This is my current setup. Pretty spartan. VWM in the lower-left, though I usually use hotkeys. Above that is LSXCommand with a clock. Systray is in the upper right. I have many of my most-used programs on hotkeys and all the rest in the popup.

Sorry to keep blitzing you with files, but here is my current screen shot. A bit prettier than the theme.

Tweaked the drop-down menus a little, added morpheusX's latest popups, new bg, and a couple other things. It seems that a # of people are interested in me releasing this as a theme, including morpheusX, so I am. I should be done sometime this week and I'll post it here.

i'm posting the theme over customize.org so, if you like it, you know where to get it! hope you like it! put whatever you want in the description! the name of the theme is "minimo" that means minimal in portuguese... the zip file is quite big because the themre as sound and a lot of things going, but the look is clean!

My current desktop. It's a hacked up version of Optykal's Iris theme. (new BG, changed some graphics & fuctions to suit my needs). I got kinda tired of using my own stuff so I figured I might as well toy with someone else's...

Well, he didn't provide a description, so I'll give one: Looks pretty neat. I like the blurred shortcut idea. This is good a saving space. See the full shot for a better idea.

This is the final version of my gForce theme (for 1152x864). All I have left to do is write a readme file and the theme will be posted by the end of this month (June). Here is what's new since the last screenshot: A taskbar, using Jugg's Tasks R7, larger LSXCommand entry, bottom toolbar graphics are sectioned for cleaner look, graphical tweaks to the audio player controls, a windowblinds skin (heavily modified from the Pro-Ductive skin), entirely redesigned popup graphics,1088x816 useable desktop area (4:3 ratio like it ought to be) and some other stuff...I think I've finally done everything that I've wanted to do with this theme, and I better release it before I get a bad case of MS-style feature bloat :-) As always, feedback is appreciated...tell me what you think!

I have removed my wharf since it makes my computer slow. I used the shortcut to open my files that respond faster. My desktop was made ala-kde. My vwm was resized by using the tile modules.

I like transparent things. So yeah. As always, eat a bowl of dicks if you don't like it.

Since this minimalist movement is still going strong, I decided to throw one together last night. There's no wharf. I put a ticker clock at the top, a few shortcuts, LSLM, inciner8 and zoomer are desktop mods. It uses sysvwm and Johan's pop8. It's shown with no wallpaper, but it can be used with any. I went for an embedded LCD look.

This is my minimalistic desktop, I'm more into the BeOS / MacOS GUI and not to flashy or dark colors. It's 60-70% finished, I add stuff as I find that I need it, layout inspired by the great morpheusX. Graphics Based on WebOS.

This is my minimalist desktop. No wharf, shortcuts, or vwm. Just Tray Tasks and popup8 with the Thug Life background. Very functional.

I'm back to a pretty minimal desktop these days. Background from d-TOP and popup from pagexx that I think work great together. Now if I could get of my lazy bum and do a Quick Notes skin for it ;)

morpheusX
It's basically based on my Morph SE theme with added stuff in it - L-ement, SYSVWM, LSMail -16x64 wharf (yeah, sorry ... but i love/need that baby:)). and i moved the Systray 'into' the bar. sad part is the Systray 'tile' image has to be burned into the BG - no other way to go around that as far as i know. so what you have now is nearly every important LS tool/stuff (IMO) all in one bar - makes life a tad bit easier:).

In this shot I have my gnome panel running, built completely from shortcuts, also you can see the popups I thiefed from morpheusX's ss. All the stuff on the panel works too. It retracts, and when you click the foot, the speaker, or the globe it brings up a menu which consists of programs related to that catagory. steeef's note: no offense, but it look like someone hwarfed all over your screen

This is my 3rd theme, Based on Tinomen's MacOS8 drawingboard I have very small screen. but I try it can be used with any screen size. That's easy Just make 2 bars to 1 bar. However It just my useless screenshot for my theme. Oops, it's name is Mac OS8 drawingboard remake.

This is hotkey driven, as I dislike the popup, but the popup is still decent. I like the way that applications look in Win98, so I made a theme to that effect. This is the first theme I've ever submitted, but I've created about ten of them for personal use only. If you would like to see this made into a theme, email me. I'd hate to waste my time on something nobody wants.

Simple, yet fully functional. Btw, that's the vwm on top. I know the wharf images don't match, but I don't care.

Updated my screenshot. Added a bit of color to it, and created a nice Mac-like WindowBlinds theme for it. Still very light and open - feels full of potential.

This is a theme that was originally a theme based on the winamp skin BeatForge II, that I took and used as a base. The actual color "set" and stone graphix are semi-ripped, but the architecture is 100% pure originality. I tried to keep everything that you would need to move the mouse to in one area (upper left obviously) to make it very easy to use. The popup was heavily modified to have that great "button press" feel to it. I especially like how only the text gets "depressed" and not the icons. I used l-ement for the CPU meter, datetime.exe (AWESOME proggy btw), systray.dll, modified tasks.dll, sysvwm and re5ource's popup. If you are interested in getting this released as a theme, let me know.

It took me a little while, but I finally put together a theme, Redline, which I should be releasing soon. I tend to use the shortcuts more then anything else and lscommand is sitting in the upper left in case I need a little more. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible as the wharf was really obnoxious and is only used for the VWM. Any input would be greatly appriciated as this is the first theme I've done.

don't remember where I hacked the background from.. the popup is as close to morpheusx's new theme as I could get and have it not clash with my colors, as well as the LS button on the top left, a hot area to bring up my popup. Several application shortcuts easily accessable on the top, LS Command, as well as various window control buttons and a clock. Everything viewable thanks to the set desktop area command.

Refined the VWM, shortcuts, and modified l-ement to fit my particular needs. WindowBlinds .80 running, Xircon, ach, you know the rest. The screen-width bar is segmented into fifths and used as shortcuts.

figures, as soon as I finish a theme, I just go straight back to my Bare setup (Traytasks, hidden VWM [hotkey driven]) Oh well.

I love dark looking desktops and ones that are minimalistic are even better. The back ground is from Propaganda. The EFX skin is an edited version of LCD Skin by Per Strid. The Pop Ups are an edit version of the pop ups from Zork Step theme by cuchulain. These graphix were all bright and happy before got my grubby paws on them. I also had to change the color of the buttons on the EFX skin to get them to show up after being darkened.

Aphex Twin background, simple popup graphics (from rew's Neurojunction theme), no desktop shortcuts, no wharf, systray icons are small to utilize more space..a true represenative of minimalism...start the riot! steeef's note: He's using the Aphex Twin graphic I made! WOO

Here is a screenshot of my Minimalism theme called "Draco" I used the idea of Morpheus to create it....but I think it looks pretty sharp. I like very little on my screen so I used alot of Killarny's modules. Hope you enjoy.

Updated screen shot...basically just added popups and changed the background. Once again, this theme won't be released, but I plan on working on a new theme that's kind of similar and that I will be releasing.
